On behalf of the staff and myself, I would like to welcome you to the Dr. Charles Best Community for the 2008/2009 school year. We extend a very special welcome to all those families who are new.
Dr. Charles Best is my 4th school as an administrator and I am very excited about working in this community. I strongly believe that effective communication is essential for a strong school community and encourage you to speak with us if you have any concerns or information which may impact your child’s learning. The school office is open 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Newsletters are sent home on the last day of each month. I look forward to many opportunities to meet with you over the school year. Together we can make this the “Best” year ever!

Dr. Charles Best had just finished his Honours BSc in physiology and chemistry and was working during the summer with Dr. Frederick Banting when they discovered insulin and were catapulted to the front of the world's medical community.
They were awarded the Nobel Prize for medicine for this discovery after which Best went on to receive his doctorate in medicine and physiology.
